01Accepting these terms
By using Caseroom, as a guest or with an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
02Who can use Caseroom
You must be at least 18 years old to use Caseroom. By signing up, you confirm that you are, and that you are allowed to enter into this agreement.
03Your account
- Caseroom is free and you can use it as a guest, without signing up. A guest profile lives in your browser.
- One person per account or guest profile. Do not share it or let others use it.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. If you sign in with Google, keep your Google account secure; you can review and revoke signed-in devices in your settings.
- Tell us at [contact email] straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.
04Acceptable use
Caseroom works because people use it in good faith. You must not:
- Harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other users, in the community or in peer practice.
- Post spam, advertising or misleading content.
- Share real confidential case materials from consulting firms, or copyrighted casebooks or other material you do not have the right to share.
- Paste confidential information from real employers or clients into the service.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the service or its content.
- Attack the service: probe for vulnerabilities without permission, overload it, get around rate limits or bot protection, or access data that is not yours.
- Create accounts automatically or in bulk, or use fake identities.
- Try to extract our AI system prompts, answer keys or model answers in order to redistribute them.
- Use Caseroom for anything unlawful.
05Your content
You keep ownership of what you write on Caseroom, including your answers, notes, feedback and community posts.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display your content as needed to run the service. For community posts, this includes showing them to other signed-in users. Because threads need to stay readable, this licence for community posts continues after you delete your account; those posts will then appear as written by “Deleted user”.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it.
06Our content
The cases, exhibits, model answers, lessons, drills and other materials on Caseroom are original and belong to us. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial interview preparation, including practising with partners on Caseroom.
You may not copy, sell, republish or redistribute them, or use them to build a competing product, without our written permission.
07AI feedback
- The AI interviewer, coach, feedback and scores are generated automatically.
- They are for practice only. They can be wrong, incomplete or inconsistent.
- They are not a prediction of how you will do in a real interview, and they are not professional career advice.
Use your own judgement, and do not rely on AI output for important decisions.
08Peer practice
- Be respectful, turn up on time, and cancel in good time if you cannot make a session.
- Your name, headline and location are shown to the people you practise with.
- Video calls happen on third-party services, such as Jitsi or a link the host provides (for example Google Meet or Zoom), under those services’ terms. Caseroom is not a party to those calls and cannot see or control them.
- Do not record a session without the other person’s clear agreement. Report bad behaviour to us through the app or by email.
09Fair-use limits
AI features cost us money to run, so we apply fair-use limits. Daily caps on AI usage may apply, and we may change them at any time to keep the service free and available for everyone.
10Moderation and termination
- Our admins can hide or remove posts that break these terms or that we reasonably consider harmful.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put other users at risk, or threaten the service. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.
- You can stop using Caseroom and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & data → Delete.
The sections on your content, our content, liability, indemnity and governing law continue to apply after your account ends.
11Service changes and availability
Caseroom is free. We may add, change or remove features, or pause or stop the service, at any time. We will try to give notice of major changes.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, or that using it will lead to any job offer.
12Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of opportunity, data, profit or reputation, arising from your use of Caseroom.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of other users, or for third-party services such as video call providers.
- As the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the minimum amount that applicable law allows.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
13Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law, and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs this causes us, to the extent the law allows.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Caseroom after that, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
